Interesting, somewhat similar to the Bankwest Transaction account. From what I can compare between the two after a brief look:
- BW give 12pt per $100 per month whilst BOQ give 1pt per $10 or 10pt per $100 per month.
- BW is tied to QFF whilst BOQ gives a choice of either QFF or VFF.
- BW has a $6 monthly fee unless you drop $2k into the account each month, BOQ don't appear to have fees
- BW has a current promotion to give 10k QFF points if 10 $2+ trans made in first 2 month, BOQ have no special bonus's.
- BW give 5 QFF points for every eligible trans, BOQ don't offer this.
- BW give 5 QFF points for OS ATM's, BOQ don't offer any points bonus for using ATM's
So, if you are really after VFF points, it looks like BOQ is the better (or only) option, however if QFF points are the go, BW appear to have the better product.
Is there any other Transaction accounts like this or is this a new trend with more to come?
