Right-wing rhetoric does tend to be nearly indistinguishable from satire. So without being able to see body language, it can be very hard to tell whether or not the person producing it is serious or not.

No, I'm saying he's created a massive mess by not reacting in the appropriate and accepted manner.

Obama's apology to Merkel when the yanks got sprung doing the same thing, is the kind of reaction that should have happened.

Abbot's biggest problem is his instinctive reaction to most situations is aggression and bluster.

The PM, otoh, isn't planning to tell porkies, as he intends to spy on them again if it suits national interests.
There seems to be an interesting shift , in Indonesia , to diplomacy by media.

I think talking about Indonesia for 3 days in a week in Parliament plus at several media conferences/circuses is a lot of speaking about that topic.
Now...as to the content of the speaking on the topic to date from both TA and BS it is mostly waffle and says nothing.
I expect little else from our politicians.

If Labour is going to be serious about challenging the next election then Shorten needs to go.

Only one problem.Obama's apology was the exception not the rule.
The rule has always been to neither confirm or deny.
Even Bob Carr did exactly the same thing when he was asked if he should apologise as the bugging occurred on his watch.
His answer-I cant comment on intelligence matters.

Of course you lot cant confirm anything as you are so far into denial it would be impossible.
