Oh dear, extra protein on the Air India food.

Air India said Tuesday an investigation was underway after a passenger found worms in his sandwich mid-flight.

The passenger made the discovery during a flight from New York to New Delhi on September 28 on India's struggling flagship carrier.

Hang it's not a worm, it's a panel out the bottom of the plane, thought it was a bit chewy.:mrgreen:

Not an airline I would fly.

Matt

That's too gross for words, mind you the discovery of the rats under the J seat in China is probably worse

Air India,

Maybe the worm eat the rivet that held the panel in place.

Maybe it was a Tequila sandwich with big mezcal worms:lol:

Well I found a rock in my soup at a BA lounge recently (EDI for those who care). Seems like catering from airlines is getting harder and harder to trust.

It is well reported that BA Lounge at LHR has failed the local (Hillingdon) council health check. It was rated 2 out of a score of 5. Several aspects required urgent fixes. You can find the council report on line if you google it.

Would not be an airline I am willing to fly.

Is that more a case of tendering out to lowest bidder?

Personally I would pay a little more and ensure a quality product rather than cheap and nasty when it comes to food in lounges. Or even on board the aircraft.

Yep I've suffered through it... Even logged a complaint of my own against the BA T5 F lounge with the local council ;)

Not that surprising, i think i will steer clear of Air India, not that desperate...

Reminds me of that old joke, what's worse than finding a worm in your sandwich? Finding half a worm!

it's a catering issue. a little unfair to blame air India, however they are ultimately responsible for the product they serve.

i like air India. 2014 will mark 40 years since my first flight with them :)
