Hello, I am new registered frequent flyer

I just bought Emirates return airfare (saver) from BNE to BKK, and in my Skywards account shows I would get only 5,500 miles each way.
But before that I also travelled BNE-BKK on Emirates airfare (saver) and received 6,475 miles in one way, I was going with Qantas from BNE to SYD and from SYD to BKK on Emirates airplane.

The new flight details is: 20 March 2014 BNE-SYD EK5533 and SYD-BKK 19:45 EK419
Is this flight Qantas operated? If yes, is this why I would receive less miles in my Skywards account?
I want to travel only on Emirates flights and receive full miles, I am not happy to travel on Qantas which is honestly not comfortable as EK.

Not sure. The Emirates website won't let me book BNE-BKK.

Looking at Expertflyer, TG (Thai) is the only one who flies direct.

Based on your flight details
BNE-SYD will be Qantas operated
SYD-BKK is Emirates operated on a 777

As per the Great Circle Mapper (Great Circle Mapper)

BNE - SYD is 467 miles and SYD - BKK is 4662 miles for a total of 5128 miles.

So, don't know the answer to either 5500 or 6475 miles on Emirates.

As per Qantas, you would have earned 5684 miles for the complete BNE-SYD-BKK

I should contact Emirates office and ask about this flight, if it is Qantas operated from SYD to BKK, I will change it.
But when I am looking for an airfare, how can I be sure if it's codeshare flight or not because I don't want to travel on Qantas (except domestic).

As posted above EK419 is an Emirates service and departs in the afternoon
The Qantas flight QF23 is a morning Sydney departure

For QF and EK flights, you can tell a codeshare flight by the flight number. Codeshare flights are normally 4 digits, where as same metal flights are 1-3 digits long. So, EK417 would be a Emirates flight and EK5533 would be a codeshare flight.

Wherever you book it, whenever it is operated by a different carrier, there is usually an annotation to this effect. On the Emirates site for example, if you chose EK5023 you would see "OPERATED BY EK 5023 QANTAS AIRWAYS" EK419 is an Emirates operated flight (and the Qantas codeshare is QF8419)

Thank you people for your information it is good to know so I don't make some mistake.
In August this year, when I travelled BNE-BKK on EK (return saver fare) I received 6,475 miles in one way.

I don't understand why I would get now 5,500 miles each way on my next flight BNE-BKK which shows in my Skywards account.
Part of my ticket: 20 March BNE-SYD 13:25 EK5533, SYD-BKK 19:45 EK419.

Maybe they had a promo on, you earn 5000 miles for the EK flight and 500 for the Qantas flight as per the calculator.

Maybe they had a promo on, you earn 5000 miles for the EK flight and 500 for the Qantas flight as per the calculator.

On the Emirates website their miles calculator shows BNE-BKK return saver fare receives 11,950 miles total (5,975 each way), which does not
agree with my previous flight miles and my next flight miles.

I remember EK has a Miles Accelerator feature to help find flights that give bonus Skywards Miles:
Earning Miles | Emirates Skywards

Perhaps you happened to end up booking a flight option with some bonus miles before?

It might be but I wasn't aware of it.

The return ticket is BNE-BKK, not the other way around, which receives 11,950 miles total.

So it does, I would have thought it would not matter which city you start in.
