Qantas Wine latest offering

Probably a good thing there are no bonus points around.

Always be careful with bonus points and discounts at the same time. There have been many cases where once the discount code has been applied the bonus points disappear and have not been issued. There has been the odd occasion where people have stated they got both but these are in the minority.

Not got the time to trawl through the thread to provide examples but they are in here.

I'm in that minority, but that was awhile back at a time where discounts could also be applied to sale stock. The Halcyon days of Epiqure seem to have disappeared with more of a focus on profit than recruitment - there are only very minor savings with mixed packs now on offer, the bonus points offers are leaner (and many require a 2 x pack purchase), discount codes are now only 10% (used to be 15%), and events generally more expensively priced (wine fair was $40 last year, now $60). The odd website glitches one was able to take advantage of in the past (Seppelt Moysten Christmas dozen, Yabby Lake pinot typo which allowed me to purchase 6 bottles for the price of 3) also seem to have disappeared.

This week it looks like the only bonuses are on selected Wolf Blass, 3K for around $450 spend, pass.

+1. Whilst it's a nice drop, too high to pay for me, just to get 3K bonus points. Happy to drink down my cellar (and under my desk) until the right deals come along

Same here. Their wording is along the lines of "since I've made a purchase in the last 12 months...". Seems to imply a single purchase is all it takes?

How many purchases did you make in the last year?
I also got the extension for another year and only made two purchases..

Given that Qantas seem to have been working to a business model of actively promoting free membership through various channels for the last year or so (Qantas magazine, Entertainment book etc), the comp renewals are probably not that surprising.
