I finally got there last week.

Those 2 commas look good. 1,000,000+ QFF points.

The big question in my mind right now.

"Is Qantas going to be around when I am ready to use them in a few years?".

Congratulations!! I'll never see that figure in my QFF account...

You are a game man. Remembering Ansett, I ensure I burn them on a regular basis.

We lost our already booked J flights for Christmas that year.

And yes, before someone mentions it like they did last time, I do realise that people lost their jobs and I am also sorry about that.

Hey JohnK, I just became you long lost older sister so you can loan me some!

Nice work and I know you don't fly J very often if at all so that's a lot of flying! :)

Pushka, if you are JohnK's long lost sister, I just became his mother-in-law! Apologies John but I could not resist it - I know Pushka!

Seriously, congratulations. I hope you do manage to use them without anything untoward happening.

Aren't you nervous carrying around that many points ? I have 750k but plan to burn a lot of them very soon.

For ever the optimist - I lost 850k+ with Ansett but siting with that amount in Velocity and 2m+ with Qantas. That rainy day will be here soon (read retirement)

850k here but planning 3 around the world In J which will burn them nicely!

FF points are the closest thing to father x'mas that I know of.
How the tax man must of hated losing that case years ago.

I might have to rob you....;)

Congrats John, I know you've been aiming at this for a while.
Funnily enough the QFF points target was one of the things that have helped me through the commute. You look at the points balance and what you can achieve with it (in my case 7 economy Oneworld awards) and you think I can do this for another 6 months. Or another 12 months.

That and the quest for Lifetime Gold which is not too far away.

I guess the reward at the end of the day does alleviate some of the pain of being away from family and friends.

Is it too early to ask what your rough plans are for them?

I would do a RTW in J for starters :D

I am thinking 7 economy Oneworld awards.

The first one has been my dream for a long time. Australia-USA-UK-Thailand playing golf in the USA (more than likely Palm Springs or Myrtle Beach), playing golf in the UK (Scotland and Ireland) and then golf in Thailand before heading back home. I think 6-8 weeks should just about do it.

I may do that for the first one as a treat. That trip above was supposed to be for my 50th but too late for that now.

Or if I find someone special....

Congrats, I'm only about 100,000 behind you with a usage plan in mind.
