Hi all, don't know if it is worthy of a celebration or a sad reflection of my life, but just re qualified for P1 for the 3rd time running. (Ironically on a Finnair flight).
pwas wondering who else is in this sad band of weary travelers.

BTW don't get me wrong the P1 program is in my opinion the best elite program on the market. The service levels are extraordinary.

Huge congrats...

Great effort and a lot of sitting in lounges and time in the air to make that happen

Congratz! thats a lot of miles flown!

Congrats!
I'm on my way to no.3 as well, probably by the end of the year.

I agree that it's a great program, the best service you can get from an airline. I wish they would be more generous with Dom upgrades, that would make P1 the perfect program :)

Congrats

A significant milestone !

Only the tiniest % of FF will ever get there (moi firmly excluded).

A couple of posts seem to have vanished...I personally would not want to travel that much but it is good that QF are looking after you, and so they should!

Very well done and a big congrats. I get the feeling the "perks" would be more like necessities to if you spend that much time in the air.

Maybe a little OT but are the "perks" really there, and/or, more importantly, are they really worth your loyalty.

It is not so much loyalty as a business relationship. On the whole it is reasonably equitable. There is the odd occasion when one wonders if it is all worth it, but on the whole QF has done a pretty decent job with P1. When I eventually lose my P1 status, it is bound to happen, I shall miss it.

My qualification year is 1 Nov to 31 Oct and I'm currently on 3550 SCs so I will probably requalify too ... for the third year!

Congrats. I hope the program continues to look after you.

As someone who travels just for pleasure, I had a moment a few months ago where I had two paths, one for PG and the other P1. Ultimately, as a mainly domestic flyer (in fact only domestic the last couple of years), the benefits I saw discussed just didn't equal the amount of extra flying I'd have had to do. Don't get me wrong, being able to select the front row on booking, or a shiny white card to distinguish me from the pack would have been awesome, and perhaps being invited to special events would have been nice too, but it looks to be mainly geared internationally and I'm just not that type of flyer.

Congratulations! I'd love to be able to do the flying to get to P1 but as a SFSC, it isn't feasible.

From talking with P1's when it is a stand out is OS travel or when things don't go to plan then you have priority.

Yup
I'm another one that's hit the three year requal. The perks are a nice to have if you have to do the travel - but there's a big downside in terms of family life.
