Qantas Wine latest offering

Is it just me, or have Epiqure seemed to have tightened up on the bonus points love in the past couple of months? Since the end of May, I've seen very very few bonus points offers attached to cases (in fact, all I've seen of value was the 3000 points for $300 spend on clearance items in June) and it begs the question of whether it's worth purchasing via Epiqure anymore (once you've purchased your first 48 bottles of course)?!? Haven't seen a 6 points per dollar spent offer for quite a while either! For me, one of the big attractions of buying on Epiqure was the ability to get a nice points return for the extra few dollars it cost over going to Uncle Dan's... now I'm not so sure. Thoughts???

I have noticed they go quiet for the two first months of the quarter in that respect.

Yeah, the "better" bargains and bonus points have really dried up in the past few months.

I still have some capacity to buy, but Vinomofo and Dan's are getting my business currently.

It would appear that way, expect some goodies in December at least!

I think that my "Free" time will run out around October, so I am on the fence about for paying to keep the membership.

What are the benefits?

My free membership runs out in Nov, and I won't be paying to sign up for another year. I intend to try and buy the last 18 bottles I need to qualify for the 8000 bonus points, but I am hanging on to see if any deals come up or additional bonus point offers.

No bonus point offers in the EpiQure email I just received - just bonus bottles

Could be the way of the future, was speaking to customer service about the missing festive dozen from 4 weeks ago that has been broken twice in transit, apparently they have new 15 bottle capacity boxes which will solve my issue where the 13th is stuffed in across the top of the others!

Interesting. People who aren't into bonus points might well take the new option - but possibly a better outcome is to give us the option to choose either bonus bottles or points?

"Mad Fish Sideways bonus bottle offer"

I received the same email.

$15.42 per bottle seems just average when you can buy them for $15 each direct from the producer (except that their website doesn't have those vintages currently). Although Epiqure has free shipping, whereas BFW costs $12 or $13 per case to the east cost... The result is that you are about $10 ahead with Epiqure.

How often do the 15% off coupon codes come around? Wondering if I should wait or just spend now. Last few appeared on consecutive months.

In the past, 15% off coupons (as well as free join offers) have been associated with metro city wine evenings and fairs (such as the wine evenings held in May). Last year, Epiqure also had 15% off offers in conjunction with the large wine fair days held in Mel, Syd and Bris around October - so I'm hoping this will be the case for 2013.

2010 Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz: $125.94 per 6, plus 2,000 bonus points. I am sure I can be tempted.

Edit: points are per 12 bottles
