Another option for people wanting FX exposure is to buy FX exchange traded funds ("ETFs") on the ASX. The code for USD ETF is quite helpfully USD.

It was business banking, just before 11.30am. Wish I could get it on personal currency exchange.

It took a hit since it was trading at close to .93 earlier in the AM.

We booked a 0.93 and have an option that will get us 0.9325. As a result of us putting a floor under it you may get a chance at 0.95 and higher.

So we get on the plane for about 13 hours and down it went to 0.91. Our deals at 0.925, 0.93 and the option to get 0.9325 may work out ok after all.

I bought my MLE-KUL Mh J, 1300USD at 1.04, refunded 1220USD at ~.91
Bought MLE-KUL-SIN Mh J, 1250USD at 1.02
=Profit! Ended up making about $70 on the first fare so the final cost 1180ish.

Currency movements rarely work in my favour so got to be happy with those wins, and the extra SCs.

Actually, I don't think it got near to $0.88. It's trading now at $0.8917 after falling to a low today of $0.8895.
