Hi,

I have booked SYD-MEL in J and MEL-SYD in Y. I have used my QFF points for the classic awards using up 24000 points.

So my booking has my QFF number. If I switch to my CX Gold number will it open up better rows for the advanced seat selection for both sectors or won't matter?

And how do I switch to my CX Gold number in my QFF booking without calling up? :)

Thanks,
K.

Actually just found out, I can change the FF number on the Finair website... I will test and see what rows gets released :)

update:
Just used my CX gold and the Y sector MEL-SYD let me select from Row 11 onwards.

However for the J sector SYD-MEL on the 767 with 30 J seats I can only select rows 4 and 5. Does this sound right for a OWS? I guess OWE have rows 1-4 on the 767?

I picked 4E (767) and 11D (737-800). Hopefully this is a good choice.

Yes, rows 4 and 5 only for OWS/Gold.

Usually the first row/s are only seen by CL/P1 on domestic sectors, not even OWE, but a OWE might see further forward than what you see as OWS.

In my experience with Domestic J, as a silver it was row 4 and 5, gold allows row 3 and WP row 2. However on many of the CBR-SYD and CBR-Mel routes gold would only get me row 4 and 5 and WP row 3. However at T-80 I could generally pick any available seat in J and as most of the times I travel the J cabin is fairly lightly loaded I can normally get row 2. (Mr FM won't let me pick row 1, as you have to put bags up and there is usually not much space above row 1 due to equipment etc.).

It was very nice booking a domestic sector yesterday and being able to choose 4C. Interesting to see that at least one other row 4 seat was already taken. But they were MEL-SYD-MEL legs.

For me that's not enough reason to fly another 1200SC ;) but would be nice.

I had a perfect storm this membership year where everything worked perfectly to get WP1.

Two lots of DSCs and a few YUPPs all combined perfectly. That and the tantalising prospect of LTG in the near future, :)

LTG really is the only thing I'm aiming for at the moment :p hence why I'm on so many SC YTD.

Nice. I had to wait until ~T-48 hours to get 4C for tomorrow mornings flight.
