Years ago - 1980s - I recall being able to stay on board while on flights to Europe, Canada and so on that had stopped at an intermediate airport, even when passengers were able to be picked up or set down due to the airline concerned having traffic rights.
My experience in the last decade has been that one must deplane at each stop and again board. There is always an instruction to take one's hand luggage off the plane (presumably a security risk but also so the cleaners cannot snaffle one's goodies).
Are TAFF users aware of any jet flights around the world where if one is travelling from A to C, one can remain on board at B (and it's not just a refuelling stop) - in other words, there are passengers alighting and joining the flight at B>
