Well, Mum has always wanted to be a member and this sale came at the perfect time, as Dad got it for her birthday today.

I personally don't see the value but hopefully she does! It does make it an easy birthday present each year if she enjoys it, just renew the QP membership :P

Gifts that keep on giving are always great! :)

Decided to wait till June to buy for my sister, and probably take a corporate rate to reduce the difference, as I was unsure if buying in May would result in a May 2014 expiration... and if her next flight is in June, it seemed like a waste of a month.

yes, my gift membership came through as 31 may 2014 expiry

I paid for my membership 3 days ago and it still hasn't come off my credit card... my profile shows Qantas Club so not sure whether I should call or just chill....

Has this amount come out of your credit card yet? I have the same issue lingering much longer than three days.

I think I got two emails, both look like welcome emails.

I feel like I should resolve this before I use the lounge. If Qantas aren't going to charge me at all I'll stick with this membership option/price otherwise I found out that my work has a corporate rate which is the same for a year or just a couple of hundred more for two, and I think I'd call and ask to switch to that option.

Is there any chance that there will actually be no charge?
