My membership year ends April 30 and I have 3,100 SCs.

I have a booking next week (Depart May 1 return May 17) worth 560 SCs.

Chances of a comp P1? Just so I can get the white card when it's released... :)

Doubt it, that's a lot of SCs and QF rarely if ever comp a level you've not previously attained.

1st time (as in, initial qualify and fell short) to P1? Extraordinarily unlikely.

Re-qualify - certainly not unheard of at Plat and Gold level but not at Plat1 (although not doubt not impossible).

Sorry.

I can't help you with P1 but if you're after a white card I'm pretty sure my first ever QFF member card from about 20 years ago was white. I still have it somewhere.

Yep - I wouldn't expect it.

My expectations are well and truly managed, don't worry about that!

Sometimes I wonder whether the "rolling 12 month" period is better (in which case I would have made P1 easily), but then with the QF approach, if you do reach a tier early in your membership year, you get the benefits immediately for the rest of the current year, plus the following membership year.

I think mine was pale blue with clouds (as per this photo - yours is in the middle!)

I think I've got some of those somewhere as well. IIR, blue was the next tier up from white. And SCs were called "tier credits". Oh the nostalgia.

Just ask, they will hardly cancel your membership for having the cheek to enquire... :)

"tier credits" came into being Sept 1 1998.

Before that it was simply Number of flights or distance for Blue, Silver and Gold status.

Well, young 'un, let me tell you all about the Two Airlines Agreement. The Pilots' Strike of 1989. Compass Airlines. Etc. :)

Geez you haven't even mentioned TAA or Ansett.

Has anyone heard of a P1 being comp'd P1 again after just missing out?

The first round of P1s was n November 2011. If any of those had a November period end for status I expect that they would be P1 through to end Nov 2012 so there should be a few people who have had to requalify. Sadly I will not be requalifying (

seriously is it worth requalifying for P1?? Granted if you naturally fly that much and get it that's good but those that try purposely to aim for it will be very sadly deluded. The team in Canberra that look after the P1s are downright rude and arrogant unlike the standard Premium desk who are fantastic.
