Just thought I'd create a thread for this - looking back over the last year, I thought I'd done a thread here as well as on Priority Club.

I'm a Gold member.

Status: Gold
Property: Hilton South Wharf
Date: 17-20 April
Booked: King Guest room & Twin Guest Room
Received: King Guest room & Twin Guest Room with Executive Lounge access, personalised card welcoming me for my first stay at HSW delievered on a silver platter (no cloche though!), 2 bottles of water.
Rate: $229

We had a great stay - my guests who stayed in the other room had never stayed at a hotel like a Hilton before, and were blown away by the lounge, the drinks, the service and their room. I will be back at HSW.

(edit) I also had no credit card surcharge .. I paid part of the bill using the remainder of my XS cards, and then the rest on credit card. I expected 1.5% surcharge on that remainder, but it wasn't charged.

Hotel: Parmelia Hilton Perth
Dates: 17th-19thApril
Booked: Standard queen room ($127 per night)
Received: King deluxe room, two bottles of water, drink voucher (no exec loung of course), buffet breakfast.

An older property in need of renovations. Noisy air conditioner. But great staff and a great rate for what we received, especially considering the normally exorbitant prices in Perth.

Does the Perth Hilton not have an exec lounge?

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It's normally for Globe but that is closed during the day and evening for renovations I believe. A single house pour but sometimes you get lucky and are allowed something off the main list. Overall a poor replacement for a lounge.

I believe PER is way overdue for some new hotels with decent offerings.

AFAIK, Globe is closed permanently. Adelphi Grill will open in its place.

True.. & add in the ridiculous WA construction costs, red tape & bureaucracy .. Would scare any prospective hotelier back to the comfort zone of Asia..

There's a couple of announce new hotels (A Starwood brand, and a HIE), none of which is helping the Hilton crowd!

Water, Internet, Fantastic lounge service.

Thanks for the update Flashware.
We are staying there later this year for one night and I hope we get the same upgrade.
I've booked an AAA rate for 7,600 yen. Bargain when you consider it will include breakfast ;)

I just had a look and it was actually 8,550 JPY

Breakfast was OK... bus to / from the airport is fairly easy too. I'm glad we decided to leave a little earlier as it took LH 2 hours to sort out our flights back to LON tomorrow due to the LH strike
