MEL - KUL QF8409 = Emirates EK0409 - QANTAS Club Lounge Access - Melbourne T2

Spoken to QANTAS this afternoon to confirm access to QANTAS Club Lounge access under the QANTAS/Emirates arrangement.
QANTAS has started marketing flights on this services under a codeshare arrangement with Emirates.
What is not clear, and not even to QANTAS & Emirates is as a QANTAS Club Member even under a codeshare arrangement leaving Australia I should be entiltled to lounge access. The only uncertainty is that the QANTAS Club Lounge closes @ 1800 daily and my flight departs at 0240, only the Emirate Lounge is open at this time. I am flying on an Emirates ticket as it was half the price of QANTAS.

I guess I am going to have to wait until 01 April 2013 to find this out!

Unfortunately - that does not provide me with an answer, it more or less tells me that QANTAS Club Lounge should be open , but according to QANTAS there is no changes to operating times. :evil:

It does give you an answer, QF lounge only and given its not open for your departure you won't have access, this situation already exists for those travelling on a QF flight number with other airlines at MEL in the early AM.
