We are trying to book to a flight to Dublin using VA points. Etihad flies there and we'd like to do a stopover for 2-3 days. Are we able to split the flight without paying the higher price for 2 separate legs? We can't seem to find a way at this stage.

Can't you pay $100 for a stop over in AUH anyway? I thought you could?

Thanks for your responses.

We have had a hell of a time getting through to Virgin and have been getting conflicting information. Their new system doesn't have all the options for flights up on the website as yet so we had to get it done via phone. We ended up not trying for a stopover because we couldn't get a straight answer from their OS call centre. With sometimes up to 40 plus minute wait the stop over just wasn't worth the hassle. We'll wait until we pay for own flight to do it next time.
