Slightly OT but hardly worth starting a new thread. I've bought some miles and so far they are all, plus a few HH double dip miles, that my account has. I see good availability on interesting itineraries but when I progress I'm told "This flight is no longer available" on many occasions. Is this because of my lack of AA status?

Don't think so, it's the notoriously flaky AA online booking engine :(

Just as a data point: base and promo points just posted, all within 12 hours. Impressive.

I bought up to the limit early on New Year's Day, which was well-before the midnight CST cutoff.

90K points in my account today.

whew!

I ended up purchasing 90k miles on 31st December around 3pm our time. I was away so didn't check earlier but they were there this morning.

How far out are you trying to book? I've noticed that it will display itineraries up to about 350 days but I can never get them to stick beyond about 330 days.
