Use of the iPhone app

This is not really a suggestion or feedback. But is it possible to ignore someone using the iPhone app? If so, how?

Given that you can't access individual users I would assume it is not possible. If you have ignored a user though already their posts do not appear in the app.

Obviously if you have ignored me you wont be seeing this post.

I also found out today thanks to Straitman that it is difficult to report individual posts on the iPhone APP.
Needs to be done on the full site

The report still comes though to us via email, but the link to the reported thread cannot be followed. So we have to go to the thread and then find the post by reviewing the individual post IDs (each post has a unique post ID number), which is time-consuming and fiddly. But if reported from a web browser, we get a link that will take up directly to the reported post - much easier and quicker to find the offending post!

Useful to know about reporting. I saw you're post Simon and that's what I thought. But I usually check this things half coughd, hence the question.

Full site works fine on my iPad and iPhone too, but the app does make things a bit speedier, from browsing to posting. It's just a bit lacking in a few areas.




I flip flop between preferring the app and preferring the full site (on whatever device I am using):

- App is cleaner and cuts out the cough
- Easier to upload photos immediately from the iPhone
- App can't show how much love/likes I have received so my ego isn't stroked as much

Thanks. That certainly does help.

But still better to use the Report Post function than not use it at all.

It would help, as the keyboard is in the wrong place on iPhone 5. It can't be too hard given the OEM of the app has already released a new version.

I would certainly like it before paying my renewal to AFF in a few weeks.

I asked admin about this at the mods meeting last week.

It is all to do with the Tapatalk relationship with the new version (5) of vBulletin.

There may not be an answer for a couple of more weeks.
