It makes me sad, even sadder because as the FC here i'm part of the decision making process. anyone else facing this type of cost cutting?

Business class on a budget?

Just after I joined the company in 2007, the existing FC (based in Germany, and who did very little travel) implemented the policy of Y only travel no matter where the destination.

Thankfully not long after our new FC started with the company in August 2011, he had to make a few quick trips in succession from head office in Germany to our sites in Australia, Brazil and USA.

Oddly enough the policy was changed in December 2011 to allow Y+ for flights over 8 hours duration.....

I imagine skirts and boots could be very comfortable... With lots of increased air flow... :)

Premium? I wish!
Work sends me everywhere in Y, Europe, US, Japan, the lot.
Ahh the joys of working for a Japanese company.
Still I'd rather travel than not.
