Awkward Jetstar pregnancy bungle

If it happened to me, I would've been pissed and also sent it out to the media outlets. It's rude, crass and could've been handled more discreetly (e.g. Pulling her aside an having a quiet word with her). Actually, the entire policy needs a review - afterall, going off a hunch that someone might be pregnant is doomed to fail. And end up a PR disaster perhaps?

If it happened to you we may be seeing medical history in the making! :p:shock::mrgreen:

LMFAO. Really, this chick needs to toughen up.

Come over to OZ darl and with your temperament you'll be on the dog and bone every 5 mins to no-news about keywe bashin!

Really, being asked if had one donald duck too many and was Keith Cheggers!

:D

Completely different to say, being told you can't sit next to a child because they're implying you're a child molester, which could require more than "sorry".

Sorry but the policy does not imply that at all. In any case an assumed implication is vastly different to outright calling someone fat.

Is this a standard length of time across many airlines, or does it vary a lot?

I think there's some variation. I thought it was closer to 32-34wks for domestic flights. I think to a degree, each airline has their own policy.
I recall my work's travel insurance would not cover me after 14 or 16 weeks.

Wait just found a full length photo of her. Not sure what the FA was smoking, but there is no way she could be mistaken for being pregnant.

Who would know how long ago that photo was taken? Could be quite old and not representative of her current appearance. Just wondering.

Read on another news source that she weighs 70kg so unless she's extremely short stature difficult to understand being mistakenly thought to be pregnant.

The medical certificate is pretty uniformly required after 28 weeks. The can't fly at all time varies (dom/int/flight length/single/multiple etc.)
