Hi

I have just received the double SC offer and and trying to work out the best way to maximise this.

Previously I have done a run up to coughet from Sydney JQ StarClass, 120 SC each way or about $2.5k for 240 SC.

But I noticed the offer only includes QF coded flights, I haven't asked about JQ but I expect to be told no.

I now see that JQ27 has a QF codeshare 263 and 'U' class business, try as I may I can't see how to book it online, I suspect if I go through a travel agent they may be able to manage it. $2.5k for 480 SC seems neat to me.

And help or thoughts welcome.

Most QF coded JQ flights are only available for booking with a Oneworld fare product or as part of an award, if you have the double SC offer best to put down where you are an what you are prepared to do, JQ is rarely a good option in that respect.

As far as I am aware, qf does not codeshare on the jetstar business class cabin. Any fares are likely only available on the jq code.

My expert flyer is calling it out as U class QF

A goodie is a JASA TSV/BNE/DRW return for flying & status points.

Where are you based?

Sydney.

From what I have been reading I can use point to pay for a fly, and still get the SC? Is that right?

Yes for any seat award or in J (Bus. Class) called a JASA here plus some dosh, you'll get points back plus status points

Flew JQ003 a week ago. Had Mrs and Jr with me on classic points and they were booked onto QF283 and will be returning on QF284.

Mrs GPH needs 500 SC's before 31 st July. To qual WP ( QF)
What recommendations would fellow AFF's make for status runs, using domestic fares in Y.
Little or no capacity to use YASA or even JASA as points have almost all been burned for an O/S trip to LHR in April 2013

( pity she didn't think of this when double SC's for domestic were the go last month) :-(

All suggestions gratefully accepted
