Hi guys,

Love to know your thoughts ahead of me calling QFFSC tomorrow morning.

I thought I'd take the opportunity to use the double SC offer I was extended to go for WP status. Therefore thanks to the GREAT tips by @markis10 I booked a TSV-BNE-ADL return JASA flight. At the time of booking I needed about 500 SC's to make WP so the 480 I would get for this JASA would easily get there as I knew I would also have a few upcoming short trips anyway.
So, I did the trip on the 28th June and with the standard SC's for the trip I got up to 1300SC's. When the double points were added on that would put me up to 1540SC's, easily making my WP goal.
Well, the double points have been taking about 3-5 days to land in my activity statement and of course, today being my 'renew' date, my 1300SC's have expired, I'm back to 0 and still SG. I'd expect in the next day or two that the bonus 240SC's will land in my account and I'll be up to 240SC's on my way to 30/06/2013 'renew' date.
I've attached a screengrab of my activity statement.
I'm pretty sure I've got a good argument (if I need it) - what do you think?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the tip, I was thinking of giving it a week and waiting to see what happens with the double SC's.

Wait till the SCs come through then ring, what flight were you on ex TSV BTW, I grabbed the first flight home that day?

Hi CamTheSnapper,

Provided your JASA flight was booked in accordance with the double SC promo (I assume so), the SCs will hit your account in the coming days and the system should then trigger your Platinum membership – congratulations.
If you have any problems please contact the Service Centre in a week or so.

Late SC's generally get backdated, so you shouldn't have an issue.

This has not apparently been the case for late posting "double SC's".

The advice about waiting until they post and then calling is good.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

I was on QF967 which is the 0925 flight, missed you by that much.. Was a bit worried that the short transits in BNE, ADL and then BNE again could be a problem (thanks to quite a few Qantas delays I have had recently) but it went like clockwork!

Thanks Red Roo for the info - I'll keep the thread up to date, appreciate your input!

Ahh, a sleep in, I was on the same plane the night before that got in late so it was a quick turn. BTW the double SCs are likely to post Tuesday, the routine seems to take the weekend off which includes Mondays.

Hope you have better luck than me - the Plat service centre made me wait the full 6 weeks for missing DSC. I called two weeks after 2 flights were missing (80 SC) was told to ring back in another 4 weeks!

Waited the full 6 weeks, called, provided details....the points posted later that day. Would have kicked up a bigger fuss if I needed those 80SC for a status milestone.

Yeh, I'm confident that this will happen, will see how it plays out tomorrow.
What even made the whole JASA SC run better was that I managed to wrangle a VERY quick portrait job in a QP meeting room in ADL - paid for the cash component of the JASA (and a little more)!

Hopefully that doesn't happen to me! Time will tell..

Well, excellent news - just checked now and 1/2 of the bonus SC's have been applied taking my 01072011-30062012 year up to 1420 SC's and my status is now WP! Would be nice if the other 120 bonus SC's were credited to my current year but I guess that would be expecting too much :-P

I stand corrected, looks like the routine just ran!

Good to see your issue has been sorted.

Late SC's generally get backdated, so you shouldn't have an issue.
Does not happen automatically to everyone. I won't go into the details though.

Great to see and congratulations on WP.

Interesting experience I had that contradicts OP:

My QFF year ran to 31MAY12.
I flew SYD-MEL discount Y on 29MAY12.
I was credited 10 SC on 29MAY12.
My SCs were wiped on 01JUN12.
On 02JUN12 I received 10 DSC from my 29MAY12 flight, contributing to my 01JUN12-31MAY13 year.

10 'free' DSC that shouldn't have clicked over from the previous period. A very small amount, but could make the difference to some.
