wow, very interesting
I can accept a fee being PER transaction, but what has the number of passengers got to do with it?
10 Pax @ $100 each or 1 Pax @ $1000 = the same Transaction that is pumped through the credit card being used...
Then why does QF not charge a CC fee when tickets are purchased on the SIN or HKG versions of the website?
Complain about the 3% foreign source charge that the banks add... OTOH the ticketing price reductions more than make up for the bank fees.
Happy wandering (except in the banking systems)

Maybe QF are using this to cook the books?
i.e. They include all CC surcharges they have to pay and all CC surcharges they collect for all bookings made/to/from anywhere, rather than just for the locations where they do charge the fee.
Speculation it may be, but in wich case, people booking ex Oz are subsidising people booking from other countries....
unfortunately in the absence of transparency it is open to speculation.

Agreed...and I am of the view that if they want to charge a fee, then it should be a percentage of the transaction.
Agreed.
Anyway most on AFF should not be paying a credit card surcharge on simple one-way or return bookings.

please tell me...pm if needed :Just discovered that similar rule applies to DJ flights that reduces the cc fee to $2.60. And if one is a good planner, then that's all one pays in cc fees over 10 flights or 12 months (which ever comes first).

Nah, it's been mentioned before in another thread but is seems you initially book from "Winter Haven", Fl (GIF) to Vichadero, Uy (VCH).
