Just got back from 4 weeks in the USA, internally we flew Delta and Virgin America, noticed on my return Delta flights automatically within 48 hours were shown in my account summary for status credits and points, Virgin America nothing, do i just wait and it will be automatic like Delta or should i do the email to retro (i did keep all boarding passes) ???....

Mine failed to post within a month and I had to retro, but then they posted within 2 further weeks. Give it a few weeks if nothing, retro.

Virgin America say that they'll post within 6-8 weeks on their site. In practice it's anywhere up to three months. My suggestion is to put a Retro claim in after a couple of weeks to make sure you're counted in any case of a stuffup, but they do show up there eventually.

Likewise. MY VX flights back in Jan/Feb credited within a few days. Was very impressed!
This should be the norm!

Impressive is when the credit occurs while still travelling; or at least within 12 hours.

Why, in this day and age of connectivity, should we put up with such poor posting times?

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

I made a VX booking in October, and by the time we flew (March this year), they had migrated to a new reservations system that had kept our VFF numbers, but marked them as Elevate numbers instead of Velocity... On asking the check-in agent at the airport, SWMBO's BP showed 'VA' then her number, but mine also showed her number... :@ I asked the gate agent to fix it, and they said that they were unable to remove the existing entry but would instead just add a new one - which doesn't seem to have worked... Her points showed up weeks ago, mine, as usual, are missing... another retro claim to make haha!

Also have to say that I wasn't very impressed with VX at all... I'd selected 5A in the hope of boarding first (and therefore having overhead space), but they boarded by row from the rear of the aircraft, and two Asian tourists in 4A&B had no less than EIGHT bags EACH that they were allowed to carry on without question, so there was no space above the seat by the time we got there... combine that with the fact that I placed two food/bev orders via their IFE system, and they both were not delivered despite reminding the crew... Suffice to say I would not return in a hurry - they made United look good by comparison!! Having said that, I'd happy try them ONCE more on my next visit to the US - it's not possible for the next flight to be worse haha! :)

i kinda thought they were excellent, new planes, cool lighting (similar to V Australia) and no trolley going up and down the isle, way better than the bag of bolts delta planes!!!, we were in similar seats to you and they board by zone from rear of the plane, but was all good, first class was nice and they offered $99 upgrades at check in (but we were a family of six and they only ever had 2 or 3 available) on boarding one flight and working thru 1st class, there was some blinged out old lady with a blinged out toy poodle sitting on her lap, and thats the way the animal stayed form JFK to LAX!!!, free coke was nice (though in delta's defence they did offer free chips/nuts/pretzels as well as drinks), red ife worked well (found 2 new tv shows to bit torrent one was scandal the other missing... check em out!!), our boarding passes have VA{velocity#} but still nothing, so might as well retro them, kinda keen as it will throw me to Platinum...
