EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

WHAT WAS I THINKING????? (not getting on board earlier??). But with avid Woolies online shoppers, it took us a while to realise we weren't getting bonus offers. Now we have changed our spending habits and the points have been flowing...

How did you change your habits? Do you mean you just stopped buying online or are there other underlying hints like rotating through cards?

I too am only just starting to read the emails that i previously deleted without reading. I have also just created an email address for each family member just for anything related to travel or points, just so I don't miss anything anymore.

Yes, we stopped buying as much online and when I realised how lucrative it could be, got my wife's and son's card working again and joined my daughter.

Then yes, to hopefully trigger more offers I was rotating those cards that we weren't able to use the bonus offers. My son, daughter and I now shop regularly at Big W (never used to before). Always kids clothes, Blue-rays or chocolates to buy for our office staff.

Kicking ourselves aren't we...I've missed out on ~ 10 to 15k bonus points at least because of my lack of checking my emails. Now it's the first thing I do on Mon AM when walking the dogs and check my EDR balances on either Fri PM or Sat.

Still have not received the quarterly statement considering that the other 3 arrived around noon. I guess they are having problems calculating my statement total. ;)

Seriously though it would appear that Woolworths are no longer sending out offers with the statement. I may end up applying for the Everyday Rewards credit card though as the 20,000 bonus QFF points sounds too good to pass up.

My statement arrived overnight

I'm missing 258 DSE points that were meant to credit last week

Mrs LW's total is 554
WOW 348
BWS 6
DSE 0
BIGW 0
CAL 0
BONUS 200

Overall total 4,408

So it looks like shintaro10x & Mrsshintaro10x are the current winners this quarter, closely followed by DeKa & Mrs DeKa. The rest of us are also rans....

I'm happy to share the Title with Mr & Mrs DeKa based on the following: -

Mr & Mrs Shintaro10x
Normal points earn = 6,125
Bonus points earn = 6,275
Total points earn = 12,400

Normal points to bonus points ratio ~50/50

Mr & Mrs DeKa
Normal points earn = 2,089
Bonus points earn = 8,731
Total points earn = 10,820

Normal points to bonus points ratio ~20/80

I'm guessing that our normal points are quite high since the standard weekly supermarket shop is ~$400 anyway...

Shintaro10x,
Thanks for sharing. To be honest I can't believe we earned so many bonus points for such a small spend. Mind you, the first thing I do on Monday at about 6.30am is work out the week's shopping plan to go 'bonus farming'

Good work, nice to see someone else playing the EDR game hard... But I do hope that you are not just shopping for bonuses...? I try hard to get points but will never buy something for points alone, items must be on our general shopping list and I draw limits on shopping more than ~3 months in advance for items such as toiletries and other non-perishable items etc...

Only exception is Booze... with so many offers, we have enough to drink until 2014...!

Remember, bonuses are only a "bonus" if you were going to buy the items anyway...

My quarter just came in. Made me laugh how many points vs bonus points I earned.

We never shop just for bonuses, but sometimes I end up with a stockpile. I work on about 3 months maximum too. Right now, we have too much toilet paper to fit in the cupboard, so it's under my desk (that was the bonus points for 24 packs of Kleenex Cottonelle). The alcohol is slightly problematic. I don't go for the beer offers (30cpl fuel vouchers for 2 cases), only wine offers.

I think that's my problem, I'm not stocking up on non-perishables - but then again, with a weekly spend of ~ $250, couldn't add too much more without pushing the budget.

I'm not seeing any bonus offers through the catalogue - they would dry up just when I'm starting to ramp up the bonus point collection :p

markis10, I got that offer - and thinking whether I go back to your posted 1k bonus point offer and see what else I need. My beer and wine supplies have me okay until EoFY, however I could always give them away to clients. Reds keep better than white (which I don't drink).

So who is going to take 3rd spot in the AFF EDR points race?

EDR - march 2012.jpg

Not bad for someone who isn't around much, but clearly I have some work to do to catch up to some of you.

Also, exactly 1200 pts is a bit freaky

There once was an EDR points junkie
Who often jumped around like a monkey
When he got bonus offers so good
He bought groceries for half the 'hood
Then raked in the points, he's no donkey!

Think I'll put that into the competition :D

Woolies 549
BWS 32
Bonus 2199

Am another who used to delete the emails without reading.

I don't do all my shopping at Woolies as I prefer Coles' meat, but the more time I spend in the better Woolies shops (read Blue Water Square), the more comfortable I am. Takes getting to know where things are too.
Unfortunately for my local Coles, they recently moved most things into different aisles & different side and depth in the new aisle as well. This has made it an unfamiliar shopping experience that takes longer than it used to, so added with the bonuses as an incentive to shop, I think Woolies is overtaking Coles for me.

Just this past couple of weeks, Coles have upped the ante with triple FlyBuys offers a few times. Havn't really been able to take advantage due to 2 trips to the US of 4 weeks each.

Will look here & learn more :D. Thanks for all the advice guys.

We are getting very little love from EDR, nada for myself and prodigal daughter for several weeks, Mr SW received the high threshold offer:
Spend
wow_seperate_choose.gif
bonus pointsorfuel saving
$180 - $199
200 points 7¢ per litre
$200 - $229
250 points 9¢ per litre
$230 or more
400 points 15¢ per litre
I will jump on the cellarmasters 1000 pt deal combined with the $50.00 voucher. I also have a $20.00 voucher lurking around.

I feel so strange not having shopped at a single EDR partner this week, almost like I'm missing a part of me.

Better go and check they credited the bonus points from two weeks ago. Won't need to worry about that next week

Here's to an inbox fill of offers to all on Monday - seemed that a couple of us were left without ... Unlike some of the fortunate ones like that shintaro10x guy :D ;)

Okay, EDR here's my request:

Give me 3 offers please

One for BWS - 300 points for spend above $30 (because my wife has finished her Pimms, so I need to shop there)
One for Big W, no min spend for 500 points would be nice
One for WOW, triple points above $30

I know, I know...but I can dream, can't I  :p

I have finally checked and no bonus points credited to EDR account for any of our accounts.

Now waiting to wake up in 6.5 hours to a slew of offers to my family.

Gee Lindsay how can you sleep on the first night of the week?
I tested 4 glasses of KRUG ,one glass of Bolly and 2 glasses of French red to see if that would defeat jet lag.
Maybe I will just stay awake to see if Woolies remembers us come Monday morning.
