XFB is the rego of one of two A330s DJ operate.
XFB is a partial reference to the registration (VH-XFB) of one of the Virgin Australia A330's. It was used by Emirates for about 10 years (starting in 2000) before Virgin Australia leased it. Seems to have more than its fair share of mechanical issues...
Will Virgin be replacing the current 2 A330's (especially XFBroken) with the 2 brand new factory fresh A330's? The other one is again leased from Emirates but I don't think it is as old...
