My brother is flying to europe on etihad and returning on emirates.
As this is a once off trip he has offered to give his points to me.
I only fly qantas domestic and jetstar to asia so have no idea about the airlines he is using.
Is it possible to somehow get the miles to my qantas FF account or even the status credits?

Sorry but you cannot transfer either to Qantas.. Etihad you could do on Virgin with Family Pooling set up correctly.

two one ways on premium carriers... expensive booking methinks

He did book through a well known travel agent chain so I hope they didn't rip him off, but don't know the details of the flights or what he paid.

Interesting you mention this however as I fly to Asia every fortnight and scheduling means LCCs are more convenient for me, but they have been cheaper to book 2 one ways every trip this year. If I knew dates in advance it would be cheaper again to book as return trips to Australia however
