Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Peter Costello on SQ - SIN to CGK (31.10.11 - both supposed to be on QF41 SYD to CGK!)

He was having trouble communicating with his driver (by mobile) from the baggage hall - he was sounding out his surname "Cos-tel-lo" - I chimed in... "He won't recognise that - tell him your name is Peter "Cost-cut-o" :D

Welcome to AFF Fly too offten, great way to start your posting career :D.

Fist Class Lounge in LA about 18 months back or so ( or when K Rudd was still the boss) , Wayne Swan and his advisers being given private room at the front of the Lounge, then Mick Jagger is escorted in by BA staff and he had sit sit with the common people. Actually it was better having Mick than Wayne sitting near us anyway. There was a loud American with his mobile phone on speaker talking to his phone Co, trying to set up his WIFI. The whole lounge heard every word and Mick started to put cough on him an make comments. Mick looked at me and said something and i said in a loud voice "sorry cant hear you" he laughed ( i suppose you had to be there):D. Also sat next to Olivia Newton John from Ballina to Sydney. I didn't realise it was her for the whole flight until i got the on the bus back to the terminal from the tarmac:oops: .

At least we had a surplus

And arguably an industrial relations climate where action such as that taken by Qantas (which caused us both to be on SQ) may not have been necessary... But in the interests of complying with the OP's request to avoid political debates, I avoided such comments in my post...

Oh, whoops... In telling you what I didn't do, I have inadvertently done it ;)

Not on a plane or lounge but in a railway station.....few months ago, Dicko happened to be a regular in Roseville up in Sydney's north shore. Me and the boss were suprised when he came up to the window to buy a ticket to the city; at first we didnt recognise him but after the second time we did. I actually never got talking to him (only my boss) but I did hear tidbits incl a show he was going to launch soon i.e. Can of Worms; all in all he seemed to be an alright guy (plus rarely you see a celeb catching a train like the plebes). Other spottings (well messages down the network phone) included Barry O'farrel doing photo-ops up in Gordon and onboard a train that was incidentally running late.

A month ago, work mates spotted Jennifer Hawkins outside a health food shop at Bondi Junction which is also a regular of the admin staff at the nearby bus depot (me included). When they came back to the office, the senior finance bloke and the 2IC immediately bolted out of the office to try and catch her...

At least we had a surplus

I'm confused. Is that a good thing? The current opposition seems to be saying NO to a surplus now.

Didnt see him, and I've been here since then. Need to open my eyes more.

I saw him enter, as I had to get a bandaid from the front desk. Somehow cut myself while I had a shower???
He seemed to go and sit in the quieter/enclosed area behind the desks. I think I saw him up getting a coffee near where I was sitting (by the coffee machine facing towards gates 2/3 sort of area).
And I missed meeting you, Mal. I didn't think I was going to find any AFFers in lounges on this trip.

The funny thing is that I did wander around the lounge but didn't see him. Oh wells. Perhaps he slipped on the bne flight.

And I do apologise that I didn't publish this visit. 5 DJ airports yesterday, 3 or 4 Qf lounges today. Very confusing for everyone including me.
