Declaring "Im leaving AFF" - What does this actually mean?

I was thinking the same thing re NYCGuy - perhaps he has been converted to A.net or FT?

Speaking of online forum alliances, whats your percentage between the "big three?" I am:

AFF. = 70%
FT = 20%
A.net = 10%

AFF 90%
FT 1%
A.net 9% (lurk only)

I declared I was leaving a few years back, only because I was protesting over these horrible, loud, bandwidth-hogging video ads that were taking over. But I came back when they left

If I were to leave again, I woulnd't mention it, because I've not really met anyone in real life, so hopefully no one would be worried I'd dropped dead

Personally it seems to me that this thread is going to quickly degenerate into a series of derogatory attacks on members who have had the curtesy to inform people that they are changing their relationship with the community.
