I am on an international aircraft tomorrow, hmmm, might have to see if its accurate reporting, cannot believe its as popular as they say:

A cheeky documentary about the female cough is raising eyebrows among Qantas passengers. The SBS program The Female cough Explained is available for viewing by all international travellers and features excerpts from old cough flicks, graphics and sound effects that would make conservative commuters squirm.
Originally shown on SBS, the French film aims to assist viewers "understand the intricacies of the female cough" - and it seems many people are keen to learn.
Qantas spokesman Luke Enright said the program is the most popular on its television channel The Edge and will continue to be screened until November.

As part of the in-flight entertainment program, all passengers can access material at any time. Programs include Disney movies, music concerts, snippets from TV series and the latest film releases.
Mr Enright said a program synopsis is provided in the in-flight entertainment guide and the channel carries a warning that some of the content is not suitable for children. It also carries an MA rating.
He said crew are able to block content to the seat of unaccompanied minors at the request of parents. However, to block the program cautious parents must read the guide to know it exists.
Sociologist at the University of Wollongong, Dr Michael Flood, said airing the documentary in a public domain was "fascinating but problematic".
"I think it's great if children and young people learn about sexual pleasure because most children and only taught about the biology of sex," he said.
"But I don't think this documentary is age appropriate and it's not designed as a sexual education tool.
"There's a growing sexuality in our culture and perhaps it reflects how sexual material is being made increasingly available."

I felt kind of awkward watching certain scenes in Black Swan on our way to LHR earlier this year. I was also hoping Little Miss was completely engrossed with the Wiggles, etc, and that she wouldn't bother trying to look at my screen.

Watching any movie with the occasional adult scene next to a complete stranger can be strange. You never know who may take a peek at what your're watching at what time!

About to jump on QF12. I'll have a look ... you know, for research purposes ....

Have seen a "graphic" magazine once on a SYD-BNE flight, guy not trying to hide it whatsoever

I watched American Psycho on a recent flight, had a few adult scenes...

Just remembered on my trip from LHR back to SYD last month I watched about half of (don't judge me now, I like to watch something where I don't have to think too much on a long flight) Hall Pass. On QF they show nudity, but as I had missed the end I watched that on BA, and the nude scene is cut out on BA...

Look under: TV Programs --> TheEdge --> ... ;)

Well, I found it, but I couldn't bring myself to watch it ..... the FA kept appearing without warning. I was in 5K (A380), so had my back to the galley :)
I kept myself content with Big Bang Theory and Family Guy :D

Yeah I've watched some movies where I've thought hmm. What will others think. I'm no prude, and not wanting qf to cut movies for the sake of certain lobby groups but I'm sure they will end up doing something.

Chicken! :p

Hope I get a new 737 on the way home tonight so I can watch it.

No luck I think, checked the August thread and think you said you are on the 18.30 flight which has a 734 at the moment. I think/hope they wouldn't put it on the main screen

Well, they've had Mullholland Drive and Hot-tub Time Machine on previous flights, which were certainly...... interesting:oops:

There can be differences with the same movie on AVOD vs mainscreen. I watched the Sex And The City movie (yes I know, but there wasn't a great selection available ) on AVOD on a trans-Tasman flight 2 or 3 years ago, but missed the last 20 mins or so due to running out of time. It just happened to be showing on mainscreen on the non-AVOD equipped return flight so I tuned in to catch what I'd missed, and I recall at least one scene shown on AVOD was cut on mainscreen (and it wasn't very explicit TBH). Both flights QF.

Yep big stuff up by me as I also thought I was on the 20:45 flight last night as well. Lucky I checked.

I could have read Zoo Magazine cover to cover during many a DRW/DIL flight. It must be standard issue to AJ's in their late teens/earlie twenties. Prior to that the ADF bible was Ralph.

Gotta laugh at the irony of your post MatF. You watch The Edge which leads to.....Big Bang Theory which leads to.....Family Guy! :p
