Qf check in - intl

Really?

I always got priority tags on countless QF flights to/from the US when I was QP. (2000-2009).

Were you QC bronze? Any sort of status gets you priority tags...but I suspect that a lot of QF checkin agents
were not aware of the difference and gave priority tags to QC's regardless.

I was QPNB until 2008, and QPPS after that.

Always got Priority tags on Dom and Int, and pretty sure it was a published benefit for all "Qantas Jet Services". At least I'm pretty sure it was publisher as such during that time.

Other than status bonuses, QP and PS benefits were pretty much identical to us.

I wonder why the system never prints "first" on a thermal bag tag? It either does a priority 'dot' or a business 'square'.

In the case of a WP checking in, despite the system prompting "attach first tag", will print "business" on the bag tag.

ozbeachbabe - does the system actually prompt and remind check-in staff to attach "first" tags? Is this something new? Or has it always been there?

If always there - just wondering why staff get it so wrong, if the system is actually prompting them?

At Syd t1 at the moment. I thought check in was 3 hours before. Anyway they knocked me back and said only opening 2.5 hours early. Hmmm there goes my lounge and shopping time ! Is this normal. Have not done intl for a while.

Blue - I've been advised by QF that Int check-in is available from T-3.

If travelling to USA - it's T-4.

This was their official policy as recently confirmed to me.
