And wouldn't you also get an additional 1-1.5 points per dollar from your bank depending on card/program?(unless I missed that in there somewhere?)

That's another 201-300 points as well!

Agreed however slightly OT for this thread description as others have mentioned to me before this thread should be for pure EDR only :p.

Bought a WD SE 2.5 750GB drive today. Turned out to be 12.5mm so took it back and got the 500GB for a $5 refund, that is 9.5mm but DOES NOT have an SATA connector, but a built-on micro-USB. Useless!

Will be taking it back tomorrow for a full refund.

WD has lost my favour with their stupid tactics.

And I'm posting this here because I was recommended to buy it here.

Wonder if I'll keep all the points?

Yep, those drives used to have proper SATA connections previously, about 1.5 years ago they changed to the coughpy micro-USB thingo.

Wish someone had said something haha… will just have to ask for a full refund and hope they don't question why.

Interestingly the non-SE products look to be the old SATA connectors (the length of the case is a bit more and uses mini-USB so I assume it's the old type). But out of stock everywhere.

Exclusive quarterly shop at 3 stores for 700 FF points bonus already posted to the EDR site for me he he...! So quick to post... should be in my QFF account tonight... :p

Maybe their enhancements are finally working

I still need to do 2 stores after I get a refund tomorrow at D¡ck Smith. Anyone know if points are removed if you get a refund?

Well we're on the road to pay out. I got the 3 shops for 700 points, SWMBO got 2 shops for 500. Works well going to get a TV for the kids from DSE, weekly food shop, BigW for office supplies, I just got 10 weeks of coffee for work and finally pick something up from BWS. That will get us the 3 + 2 partners with the double points at DSE on the TV we're on 2000 points. Just need to convince SWMBO that we need 6 months of soup and tea. Fresh food will be a easy.

They have what I want, but not at a store near me. My local would be Varsity Lakes, which looks to be sold out of everything?!

I'll have to drive to BNE, but should be worth it. Thanks for the suggestion!

You talking about one of these?
Western Digital® My Passport® Essential™ SE 750GB Portable Hard Drive-USB 3.0 | Staples®
The external connector is USB 3.0

Internally, it's still a SATA drive. It's just that the external USB connector has probably moved from mini-USB 2.0 to micro-B 3.0

The USB3 drive costs more, a lot more. I bought a USB2 version with the PCB being micro-USB only, no SATA connector. Shall be taking it back this afternoon and following medhead's suggestion. It's a shame Dîck Smith doesn't sell internal drives, otherwise they'd have my business. It's also a shame WD thinks it's a good idea to do what they did...

Oh and internally it is NOT an SATA drive anymore, I can't find a photo right now, but there is no SATA port on the new drives, USB is built right onto the board!

Sometimes I wish the offers came with more clarification. For example if I buy the pea & ham and thai curry soup which is in the deli section does this count as a soup purchase and a fresh food purchase? Or does the soup offer only apply to canned soups etc?

I also wonder how they determines who misses out on the visit 3 shops/700 offer? I have a Safeway/Woolworths and a **** Smith's in town but the nearest BigW is about 160klm away and BWS would be about 250klm away and I almost never get the multiple stores type offers.

Along the same track, is a mobile phone recharge voucher a valid purchase for the visit 3 shops offer (eg. Supermarket, Big W, DSE...?)

It has worked for me in the past and about to do it again(on mrs.dr.ron's account).

Same as above, buying a recharge card at BWS has qualified me in the past (though not for beer-specific purchases lol).

I know a better place for buying recharge vouchers!!! ::::::::stare:::::::

Also yes recharges do count as normal purchases.

Does anyone know if there is a way to have points credited to EDR Card after a transaction? Website said its not allowed but I was wondering if anyone knows any way around it/has done it before. Thought it would be more worthwhile to ask on here before I tried calling EDR!
