Hi I'm hoping somone on here may be able to help with this? My parents are planning on flying out from the UK to visit me here in melbourne at the end of the year. Their dates are pretty flexible but I'd like them to be here for Christmas. I was keen to review Emirates costs because of the chauffer driven airport transfer and the fact that they fly from LGW which is easier for my folks. I've tried searcing for avialble flights using the flexible date option but it keeps coming up with the message that there are no available flights. I've tried all dates between October to Dec/Jan and nothing....Can everything really be sold out already or is their a glitch on their online system? I've tried it several times over the last 2 weeks and the same result.

Thanks

Hi there,

I have done a random search on the EK UK website and found availability at a total price of GBP8231 for two pax travelling from 12dec to 11jan (unfotunately the picture does not want to attach...

Thanks for that - tried it again with your dates and yes prices come up but it seems there is nothing available for a departure in October/November. I still think it's odd that they could be fully sold out in those 2 months.

Just checked my GDS, there's plenty of J seats in Oct/Nov coming up in availability from my end, perhaps its a website issue, either that or due to my not being at point of origin.

Qatar Airways has world's best Business Class, great connection timings and is 1-stop between LGW and MEL.

Unfortunately there are reports that they may be discontinuing their LGW flights, and maybe relocating to LHR. Worth checking them out though.
Dec 11 - Jan 11: GBP 7781 for 2 pax

Actually I flew home Business Class with Qatar in March. I was v. excited coz I heard that they weere no.1 but can't say I saw the difference myself and unforunarely they will no longer fly to LGW. Bt they are still on the list as a potential.

Good to know there is still avialbility on Emirates thought it looked odd.
