91% of V Australia passengers reported as being very satisfied or fairly satisfied in the Roy Morgan Reseach report issued today based on sampling to the end of January,2011.
This means that they beat both Singapore an Air New Zealand this time.

I traveled 3 times on VA last year and enjoyed each flight. So I agree with those passengers who said they were "very satisfied".

Beating both Air New Zealand and Singapore Air in the satisfaction levels is a pretty significant result.
You have to give credit when it is due and one of my friends had said he loved their product in J.

Good result, but easier to achieve a high number when the total no. carried is significantly less. ;)

I'm another convert as well (if my TRs didn't already give that away) -- whY+ and J on VA are both excellent products.

I am on a business panel with the survey company so I see the results of their surveys which of course are backwards looking.
You are as good as you are everyday so in airlines that could quickly change.
I do believe that the airline surveys should get reported to give the winners and runners up acknowledgement even if I may not be using them currently.

Question-After the incident in LAX overnight crazydave 98 says that J class passengers booked on VA7 will be transferred to QF flight.

So if you were expecting to be travelling in J on VA on a 777 how would you feel about ending up on QF? Happy or not?
Interested in opinions.
Cheers

Given the alternatives of not traveling at all or being delayed significantly, I would be happy that QF J direct BNE-LAX would be the most suitable alternative.

That is my view as well.

How does status work in this situation? Would you earn Velocity points or QFF points? I assume the former...

Yeah I would assume that Velocity has a procedure for claims of "original routing" as QF does and therefore anyone affected should be able to claim for the velocity points they would have received had the flight been operated by VA.

Potentially both. Ask V Australia for "original routing credit" and ask QF to add your FF details to the booking. However, the "fare type" on the QF flight may be non-earning, or V Australia may want to see the QF boarding pass that now shows your QFF number so may refuse credit. Lots of maybes here.

I’ve always liked the way you think NM. ;)
I agree ,however whatever you do don't get him started on the "light bulbs vs dark suckers" subject.:p
(Apology for thread drift-couldn't resist)

Now that you mention it, have I ever mentioned my theory of gravitational flight?

Sounds very interesting and thought provoking and I'd love to hear about it however I'm sure if I asked you to expound on it here I might get a nasty message from the mods telling me off for deiberate thread drift-so maybe another time.
BTW my sister just returned from a trip to the US on V Aus,she was very impressed with the service, even in Y.

I've had three stellar flights on VA in J along with one awful flight in J - so that represents a 75% satisfaction rate in my books which is fantastic. I think the "boutique-e" feel about VA is what makes it a good airline. Its growth into a major international aussie carrier will be interesting to watch - its growing pains will make it or break it in these types of surveys...
