Does anyone have a photo?

Thanks

I'd have to double check with TG to be sure, but I expect they operate the same 170 degree lie-flat seats they do on their MEL/SYD/BNE services...best to call TG to double check though.

Thai Airways International - Inflight Service

Great seats and service, definitely good value for the price, though if there's more than one of you, you may want to check out the MH companion fare thats out through to end of this month and is superb value for money.

Have all the A330 been retrofitted with the new lie flat seats?

They don't seem to mention anything on their website about A330 and new lie flat seats

What lie-flat seats are you referring to?

Last time I flew on a TG 346 they were 170 degree seats, the TG websites quoted on this thread indicate that the 330s operating PER-BKK should have the 170 degree seats (not sure if the recline is the same though...)

TG have two types of Airbus 330s which they use on regional routes (3 to 6 hours flying time roughly) - the old config (registration numbers HS-TEA through HS-TEM) and the new config (registration numbers HS-TEN through HS-TEU).

The old config has 7 rows of 2x2x2 in business class, and these are the old style recliner seats. The new config has 6 rows of 2x2x2, and these are the hard shell cradle seats, but not lie flat (note that they don't recline as much as the Boeing 747, 777 or Airbus 346s seats in the photos above, but are better than the old recliners though).

I haven't flown BKK-PER before, but I have flown on both the configs on other sectors. Both times, it was a last minute substitution - when I was expecting the old config, the new config turned up, and vice versa (I have a trip report on FT - www . flyertalk . com /forum/trip-reports/1033774-mostly-c-bne-bkk-blr-del-agr-del-blr-bkk-fra-osl-arn-fra-xbkk-xsyd-bne.html - apologies for the spaces in the URL, but I don't yet have enough rights to post links - see posts #3 and #12 on that trip report for the TG A330 flights).

The last 6 PER-BKK flights (and obviously associated BKK-PER turnarounds) have been operated by HS-TEQ 5 times, and HS-TEN once - so each time has been on a new config 330.
