QF staff member here - I would LOVE to get an amadeus reference number for one of these bookings.

Cheers

Can anyone see the billing details for one of these bookings online?

It might be quicker to contact the banks being defrauded by this than Qantas?

I have $26,000 worth of tickets booked in my name now as I booked economy and then business and am realising that he didn't even make changes, he just bought new flights with (I'm guessing) stolen credit cards. All confirmed with insurance and e-tickets issued.

I didn't pay as I realised it was a scam before transferring money.

What would you do? Can't say I haven't thought about cancelling them for QANTAS credit...

Paging red roo.....

only gives the last 4 digits of the credit card he used to pay for them

Andrew has not replied my email verifying the account he wants me to make payment to. The flight my dad should be on would've left now and yet he's not even concerned that we haven't paid!

Can you see the card type - if it's Amex they can probably look into it with the merchant name and those last 4 digits

Nearly 24 hours later and he hasn't got back to me with a quote for PE to LHR in October,oh boo hoo,I'm so disappointed,I was hoping I'd get a really cheap quote.:mrgreen:
(Do you think the fact that I asked for his travel compensation fund details may have something to do with it?!)
Cheers

Not harder to get a .com.au addy - it's just more expensive than a .com addy :D

It is a little bit harder, I think - you need proof of a relevant Australian business name. For a dotcom I don't think you need anything.

Enquired day before yesterday about a fare to Abu Dhabi, and had a prompt reply with excellent fare. When I asked who i'd be flying with was told Malaysian and was also encouraged to check Malaysian's website for fare comparison.

I've not received a reply to my query about Malaysian not flying to Abu Dhabi.

11 pages into this thread, and no-one's actually flown?

Wonder how he'd reply to 3 pax travelling First Class RTW from BKK, with some flights to the continent from LHR and a couple of flights added in the USA.

Would *love* to book on the site and see what the response is.

Its only two days old and most community members here would pick the issues pretty quickly, apart from the name of the business, after all who wants to take their final flight?

Add to that a real concern that your return flight could be cancelled and you're stranded somewhere a long way from home? If the tickets are smelling dodgy, chances are so is the insurance.

(He's stated that you'd be flying Malaysian, but you've pointed out they don't fly to Abu Dahbi; are you willing to take the chance when things aren't adding up?)

You need proof of a registered company name with an ACN

Not a trustee rubbish that this person has

I emailed them this time yesterday asking for a quote on flights. No reply. Has anyone else not heard back?

Yes I emailed lunchtime yesterday asking for a quote on PE to LHR however I also asked for their travel compensation fund details so that maybe why they haven't replied yet-they are trying to think of a way to tell me that they aren't a member-which of course is a legal requirement to sell international air tickets!

i asked for a quote for J from Perth to London in September. No response at all apart from the automated email. That was 48 hours ago. I think they have made their money and gone.

I suspect if he was in the travel industry then he most likely knew about this website (AFF) and has been monitoring the comments here over the past few days.

He would of known when it was time to pull the plug and go back to Nigeria. :)
