Simple question really. I need to decide.
MEL to LAX one way.
Which would you choose in Y?
VA ($1468, on a 777-300ER) flies direct, ANZ ($1318, 777-200 to AKL and 777-300ER to LAX) via AKL.

Personally I would avoid any airline's 777 economy product configured as 3x4x3, and go for the one configured as 3x3x3

I'd recommend VA for two reasons:
  • Guaranteed 3x3x3 layout
  • Direct flight
