Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club lounge in Honolulu - anyone used/seen it?

Howdy all!

Just a quick question as to is anyone has been in the Premier Club lounge in HNL and what it's like and what is available etc?

Any input would be most welcome as we are thinking of joining the premier club in order to have access to this lounge for our 5 hour wait between arriving in HNL and departing on our next flight. But we're wondering if it's worth the $250?

Can't say I have.

But...judging by the other US lounges I have been in I can't see how it would be worth $250 for one visit? The only real benefit I could see would be the shower facilities if they have them. If you were planning on visiting HNL a number of times and flying with HA perhaps it would be worth it to you.

I have used it. Very basic. No food. Soft drinks only and no grog for purchase.

Comfy chairs, TV and newspapers. I can't remember if there were showers. Toilets were clean.

$250 is pricey if you only use it the once.. PP might be a cheaper and better option.

Weeeeell.. we thought so too, but in joining, you get basically unlimited baggage for travel on flights, for yourself and one travel companion and also access to the lounges, priority boarding etc etc.. so it's still on the cards for us.. still not 100% convinced though.. I thought we'd wait and see if we can upgrade online at check-in first, which would give us all the above included in our flights.. but then I can't find any info on how long it actually takes to become a member - I am thinking that one can probably join whilst at the airport and use it the same day?

Hello! I was there May 2010. Nothing special, they had soft drinks, light snacks, comfy chairs. I also paid $250 for the membership. However, considering baggage costs both ways - it almost paid for itself since the membership pays for baggage for up to 2 people traveling with you (or 2 bags). The baggage weight limit was a also little higher. You also get 2 free coughtails during the flight! woohoo!
