re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

Your sums are wrong. It's 6.5 MR points /$ , assuming you spend over $50.

Let's say $100 spend.

Base PLT AX points = 150
Everyday Rewards Card = 50
Bonus = 500

= 700 points

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

NB, I don't think you get everyday rewards points on Gift Cards.

In any case, if you purchased a $100 Gift Card, on 1.5x Platinum Card, you should receive:

Base PLT AX points = 150
Bonus = 500

= 650 points

Spend the $100 card at Woolworths or BIG W, and you'll receive another 70 QFF points.

Total = 720 points.

Assuming you spend more than $50:

6.5 points per $1 for the first $30,
7.5 points per $1 for the rest. (with 1 point per $ going directly to QFF)

$100 = 720
$200 = 1470
$300 = 2220
$400 = 2970
$500 = 3720

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

Can anyone confirm if this 5 x bonus offer is only available for online purchases, or does it include walk in store purchases ?

If so, this may limit some purchase options.....thanks

Thanks Mal, do you know if :

i. you are also eligible if you have selected the Amex Direct Qantas rewards option (rather than just accumulating membership reward points), such as for a AMEX platinum reserve card;

ii. Also, do you get the bonus if you use a bank 2nd card Amex (such as WBC Krisflyer Amex card).

Thanks again......

As per the T&C this is for Amex issued cards only. Not Bank issued Cards. see the T&C for the list of excluded cards.

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

Haven't had a chance to buy one yet.

Do they work for the boni....? :D

Some people here may have purchased them without any dramas. Particularly handy for some other deal happening at the moment ;)

To not start another thread, just found this offer as well

Amex Bonus Rewards | Partner - VINTAGE CELLARS

Seems the 5x bonus points expired on the 31st October ???????

Also discussed here : http://www.australianfrequentflyer....otions/amex-5-bonus-points-vintage-26355.html (wondering whether I need some Coles Group gift vouchers as well ;) )

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

Does anyone know when will the 5x bonus point offer ends? It doesn't say on Amex's site.

The DSE check out guy looked at me funny when I purchased some gift cards and then proceed to use those gift cards to pay for the goods. Oh well, the things you do for bonus points :D.

Don't know. Worth a try, as I can't see it as an exclusion in the T&C. But that is assuming that the Direct Sweep still is part of an MR account - not classified totally differently.
