Thanks to another recent thread, have looked at making my next SYD to LHR booking in two stages, using QAN Australian sight for Sydey to Singapore, and then the SIN site for there to LHR. Seems like a way to save money - especially as the SIN site still have Fare Saver deals in both B and F (unlike our own local Qan site).
Especially good when willing to buy Y+ ticket from SYD to SIN - only a 6 hr flight.
OK - here are my questions. Does anyone have experience or information regarding:
Sat 22/5 - QF9 or QF 31 to Singapore, then QF 31 on to London
Mon 31/5 - QF 32 on both legs home
I don't have access to seat counter or any other - so anyone with access and skill, please, would appreciate your advice.

- What is the chance of an op-up for the Y+ leg, either complimentary or on points - I'm a WP
- What about the SIN to LHR legs? The B saver fare is $6194AU return, the F saver is $10151AU return. (Yes, I know Saver fares are usually non-upgradeable, but this hasn't been a hassle in the past with a 100% positive strike rate!:mrgreen
