BNE-SYD $75 etc etc

Perhaps it is time to book flights July-September. SYD-BNE for $75 is heaps better than the $89 they were asking a couple of weeks ago. :)

Any chance of specials appearing between 25 June to 19 July as they have done for the Easter-Anzac Day period?

There’s some good fares there, shame they weren’t released sooner as I’d have much preferred to fly back on QF instead of Tiger :p

Might consider buying a ticket for later in the year though.

I have noticed availability of the cheap airfares is limited for BNE-SYD on all Friday evenings July-September. This was not the case during earlier sales.

Is QF experiencing good forward sales?

Friday PM, Sunday Afternoon/PM and Monday Mornings tend to be peak time for the "Golden Triangle" and N/O/Q/E classes often never have any availability on flights during this period.

Has anyone noticed that the 767 on the sale section of the QF Homepage is back to front?;)

Now that you mention it? No!!!!

This may sound like a naive question but how you tell without a magnifying glass?

What gave it away was that the tail number looked odd, on closer inspection the *GO-HV gave it away.

*Yes it was very late at night before bed:oops:

Judging by the example outside the QP window at SYD right now it is also upside down. The "*GO-HV" is below the windows on my example.

Although the sale is now over, I’ve found an interesting relic presumably from it.

Flying from BNE, Launceston seems to be on sale for $139 on the 16th July only. Mighty strange.

QF1241 is normally the MEL-LST flight, I suspect its an error.

Re the special fare from BNE-LST on 16/07/10, I believe the Brisbane Lions play the Hawks the next day at Aurora stadium, so my guess would be it is related to that AFL match.

Correct.

The first return flight will be from Melbourne on April 25 for Hawthorn's game against North Melbourne at York Park.

Other flights from Melbourne will operate for games on June 12, July 17 and August 21. Flights from Launceston to Melbourne also are scheduled for June 11, July 16 and August 19.

Flights from Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth are scheduled for June 11, July 16 and August 19 respectively. There will be direct Qantas flights from Launceston to the same three capitals on June 12, July 17 and August 21 respectively.
