My FF year is 1 September-31 August. I will be close to getting the last SCs to keep Partner JohnM Partner Gold by 31 August.

Here's the question:

On 31 August I will be in the US and taking two A flights that will comfortably put me in the PG zone. But by then it will be 1 September in Australia. Will QF have closed off my account for the year at midnight Australian time on 31 August or are SCs allocated to the actual date of travel shown on the BP, irrespective of location in the world?

They usually leave things for a few days to allow such flights to credit, despite the time zone difference I think its safe to say that QF regard the day as finishing when the final time zone goes to a new day, that is, if the boarding pass says 31st August, it gets counted. Too hard to do it any other way and too confusing.

Thanks - that seems logical and logic is what I was hoping would prevail:D.

That is probably the cutoff. What is your flight time in GMT?

Its not the cutoff for flights, I have often had flights at 2300 UTC on the 31st October post as Nov 1, which of course it is in BNE, I dont think the data contains time, just dates for a reference and crediting. If it is the time that counts, then all flights started by 4PM LA time should count.

Generally QFF are quite good on this.

Any points/status earning travel credited for a particular QFF "Year" that posts during the subsequent "Year" get credited to the previous "Year" and all required adjustments are made.

e.g. I, in 2005, I had a flight on Oct 30 that too me to WP from SG, however it did not credit until around Nov 4. In the mean time, I had other flights that posted with my 50% SG bonus.

Once the Qualifying flight posted and new status assessed, I was credited with an additional 50% bonus for those other flights.

I had no input on this, it simply happened.
