My 12 yo grand daughter is starting to get into vinyl (her dad does a vinyl podcast) and some classic stuff would be brilliant for her.

Sad week. Getting rid of my 70s vinyl collection next week for only a few dollars an album.

The problem is that I need to inspect and catalogue them all and I am not sure I can be bothered..

Yes sold separately probably $2-5K but CBA to catalogue and post on eBay etc then post. Giving Zappa collection to friend, the rest sell to Dutch Vinyl at Paddington. Not sure what they will offer but they suggested only a few dollars per album. Some they are selling for $50-$80 but most only sell for $15-$20. Will see.

About 5 years ago I had both boys here and they had a clean out of their stuff, I have a large 12 x6 tandem trailer and
they filled it up..mostly with cd's that, on reflection , I had probably paid for….
#2 son still has a little pile in the garage , including his snowboard , a stack of vinyl and two high end decks that afaik have never been used….
They are moving soon .. interstate with him or to the tip..

That's interesting @TheRealTMA.

While not close to those levels of doddery-ness, I saw Gangajang, Wendy Matthews and Richard Clapton at Anita's Theatre at Thirroul on the weekend. It was an entertaining, lively and warm show, but they all struggled with their voices to hit and hold the high notes and relied on (the same) back-up singer. I also saw Tim Finn a few weeks ago here in Canberra and he really struggled with his voice. Terrific in terms of energy, familiarity and nostalgia. I'll reconsider gigs by yesterdays heroes now.

Possibly never been played, already found some other gems. A lot of African. Bought the Basil's one at a performance at the local in Elsham Rd.
The Croc one features Kirk Lorange, a fabulous slide guitarist.
Loose Trousers featured a guy I went to school with. The main guy Richard Hauser did not get on with Molly Meldrum, a big mistake in Melbourne considering the clout he had. The drummer was Bill McDonough who went to bigger things. Unfortunately the Loose Trousers one is unplayable.
