We are included but only MrP got the emails, but it's a booking for two. Anyway all registered. We were due to fly out the day the borders slammed shut, Friday May 20th, to Bali. In Business. Via Sydney from Adelaide. Expensive. Getting another email today reminded me. I have no idea what happened after that as the world deteriorated at that point but seems we qualify.

Just received yet another text message from Echo law telling me I should register. But I already have registered weeks ago- I assume once per email address is enough?

Same. I ignored it.

My experience with Echo Law ended up a minor shemozzle.

Started the registration process had problems in registering to stat with; I booked the flights under an old e-mail and I got the Echo e-mail on that address. Got the contact e-mail changed, but then rego refused as 'existing account' for that e-mail. . E-mailed, took some time, then got a call and it was sorted. Then found 4 flight groups, each with multiple flights. Two I couldn't reconcile with experience, so I didn't want to go on and claim. E-mailed them. Lengthy wait again, but they got back to me personally and discussed. When I went in again, only two groups of flights.

Looking at these, I couldn't reconcile one with actuality, so I e-mailed them again - what do I do? The next step says you 'paid for the flights' (with no carve-out that Qantas had supplied the info). Took some time, but got back to me again, asking to clarify which was which. Later that day, said to log in again. Now said 'No' for 'did you pay' both flights! But my e-mail was being watched out for, so I e-amils and immediately corrected. Next iteration - OK.

I received both email (a couple of addresses) and SMS.

Registered using all - while there were a few duplicate bookings, there were others on some which were not on others.

I have decided my time is worth more than the coughpy amounts on offer.
Many large class actions like the one recently in Vic small business v State of Vic (lockdown related) have crumbs for the litigants. In that case each business will get $5100 - law firm $38million.

Well after Mrsdrron registered we got a call from QF and 4 covid vouchers were refunded.
Today she got a call from QF AKL about an expired voucher. I presume because she was WP when the flight was cancelled. So another $340 comes back home.. Great agent.

The annoying thing about this is that while it was me who booked for the two of us, every piece of documentation is addressed to HIM but to my email address. I always put my name first. He was WP and I think I was as I was extended during Covid. But not sure.

Hi Drron/Group,

According to Echo I'm (potentially) eligible for 9 sectors compensation during the COVID period (Perth based - lockdowns were a nightmare).

Does anyone know what the actual process is here? Will I need to accept a call from Qantas (don't answer numbers I don't know) or will email contact be made?

TYIA, all.

I registered for a total of 6 flights. Be interesting to see in October if that is 6 x $50.
Hi Craney
Did you receive 6 registration links from Echo Law ( ie one for each of your flights )?
Also were credits for these flight values issued to your FF account or were you issued a Qantas Pass ?
I had multiple flight cancellations and delays receiving reimbursement . Most of my flights were international business class so I was thousands of dollars out of pocket for months ( one for 2 years ).

I received the registration link from Echo Law but it only showed 1 flight ( SYD to MEL) value around $300. The link would not allow me to add additional flights and although I tried multiple ways it would not let me lodge another claim. Coincidentally this is the only one of my cancelled flights where Qantas issued me a Qantas Pass
This situation is not covered in the FAQs on the Echo Law website so I emailed them over 2 weeks ago but received a response basically saying that can’t respond to every email and directing me to the website FAQs which is no help. I have sent another chase email. It is impossible to reach them by phone partly because it is an Australian toll free number abc I am currently living in the UK but when you do phone ( as an Australian based relative did on my behalf ) you simply receive a recorded message
So if you are able to help I’d really appreciate it
TIA

Welcome to AFF @VanessaUK

Others may have better information but my experience has been similar to yours, Echo Law is not answering/returning any phone calls or emails.

Your one flight from SYD-MEL will include any other associated flights with that booking ie if it continued on to SIN-LHR.

Have you got Registration confirmed when you log back into the portal?
Maybe @RooFlyer @DejaBrew can shed some light for you.

Hi thanks for responding.
Unfortunately the SYD - MEL was a standalone flight. I have registered on the portal for that flight and have received confirmation that my claim has been lodged. I noticed from their FAQs that only the first leg of a booking would show on the claims portal but in my case the other flight cancellations were on separate bookings on separate dates so are not included.

When I log back into the portal to try to submit a new claim it will not allow me as it recognises my email address. I may be wrong but I think it may have something to do with the fact that a Qantas pass was issued for the SYD to MEL flight as the original flight date for that was well into COVID restrictions whereas my earlier SYD - LON cancellation was at the early part of COVID. I was flying business class on that flight so it was quite expensive and in a cruel twist of fate the booking I used the credit against over 2 years later was actually cancelled while I was at Heathrow trying to return to SYD leaving me totally stranded. I had to pay for a flight with another airline as I was going to a wedding and Qantas told me they didn’t have a flight for 10 days. It took me 5 weeks, a case with NSW Office of Fair Trading and an escalation to Qantas head of loyalty to get it resolved so I’m hoping I don’t have the same issues again 🤞

Hi Vanessa. The flights were all on the same booking, for a family of three travelling CBR-MEL return. I don't think we had a Qantas Pass (I don't know what that is, so don't think we had one). Good luck.

That’s good at least it covers all of your cancelled flights. I’ll just keep on trying. Thanks for your help
