The wetness of the wipes adds adhesion to the problem you mention, though forcing it through a restricted opening (similar to the cylinder of screen wipes) can help that out.

Also, wet wipes tend to be contained in a container packet that is constantly pressed down, compounding the adhesion.

Went to the shops on the weekend. Loaded my groceries into the boot, then opened the passenger door to deposit my handbag. As I walked around to the drivers side, the car locked itself (with the key inside)! Thank goodness I had my phone in my hand but I did not appreciate having to drag my flu-ravaged family to the shops to rescue me.

And you obviously don't have a car that allows you to open the door with the keys inside like mine (in fact I've never tried it but I don't think it would autolock with the keys inside)

Fortunately its also not my car. Once you open a door on my car, it doesnt relock itself.

My (Subi) car won't lock if keys inside. When travelling if I've left a spare inside I cannot lock the door.

I've pruned the video. I sent an email to the company and it was the owner. He has apologised and said I was in his blind spot. What do ya reckon?

I probably wouldnt bother. These things happen regularly (although they shouldnt) and while he's in the wrong, he has acknowledged as such.

No, I wouldn't bother. Whilst I think his excuse is garbage, there was no accident, you've expressed your displeasure and all's well that ends well. I can't see the police taking any action as no crime or infringement has technically been committed, and if we were to all be referred to the authorities for punishment after every little driving error we've made, then all of us would have had our licenses cancelled by now.

True, but in this particular instance, I honestly couldn't see anything more than a "warning" being issued given there was no actual accident.

Yes his excuse is absolute rubbish you were in front and to the right of him. For a driver of a right hand drive car that is nearly the least likely place for a significant blind spot. he just wasn't looking. but no point in involving the police as others have said.

B,ut what cheesed me off this morning was drivers who put their blinker on think that gives them the right to do things immediately. We were in virtually bumper to bumper traffic on the Nicklin Way this morning and there were 3 instances of this not far in front of me. One fellow went straight across 3 lanes of traffic to tun left. Must have been very close to an accident.

Yes. Correct. Traffic infringements can be reported online through SAPD. If there is actual evidence, like a dashcam, then it needs to be reported at a police station. There is clear evidence on the video. It shows his reg, date stamped and my speed is registered. I also have snipped it so it shows my speed leading up to it. I had to brake sharply (as recorded in the sudden reduction of speed on the dashcam) plus the positioning of the vehicles just prior to the brake point. I was almost in front of him as he crossed the lines but he didn't brake to look but just carried on but because he needed to move slightly left to round the roundabout that gave me a bit more space to brake.

My car is bright red.

i have had this dashcam for years. In 2019 when we moved to the western beach suburbs Becuse of so many cyclists and roundabouts. This is the closest I have come to what what have been a significant crash with injuries if I hadn't breaked hard.

I haven't reported it I'm just showing how it's done.
