I just checked for my November trip to Dubai and it’s there already @Flyfrequently

So maybe you need to update the app again? I did mine a couple of days back before buying DSC flights.

New Spring menu to be rolled out in SYD mid this week. Apparently salads and desserts will be updated, more gluten and vegan conscious dishes too. Some recent faves like the clams from the special menu are to stay which is good (though change is also appreciated).

Anyways, some random pics of the various dishes I’ve had from this menu. I liked that it had some quite different flavours for a change.


Tuna with soy rather than the overpowering lime.


Pork belly a standout for me. Think they ditched the crab in SYD?


Sticky date pudding excellent.

So I would say it’s the tuna and the clams from those pics.

Interestingly, the QF app 1st lounge menu for my flight tomorrow has been updated for spring. Sardines gone unfortunately.

Glad they listened to your feedback. Citrus soy instead of ponzu but hey, the rest of that dish is back. Celebrations.

No. Ponzu was a few menus ago if my faulty memory serves. This was feedback on the overpowering line dressing from the winter menu. . Not feedback I actually gave - many others did, according to staff I spoke with.

Couple of dishes from the Spring menu.

I enjoy duck but this was pretty average unfortunately. Didn’t look a big serve but there was a good amount of meat at least.


The braised pork was excellent. Tender meat, very generous serve.

Probably not the most interesting menu but look forward to seeing others’ pics and views.

Same for all day menu yesterday but on the bright side, I was able to enjoy the fresh sardines once more until next it graces the menu. They said the spring menu would start today but obviously not.
Interesting news on Taittinger champagne. I mentioned on an earlier post somewhere that I thought the champagne flavour had changed when Taittinger changed the foil to black from gold. Well yesterday I was told they didn't have any by 1 staff. Another staff started his shift and when refilling my Lallier, I mentioned it's disappointing there was no alternative. He volunteered there might be 1 bottle left. He found it and announced he was opening it just for me. He also volunteered that they was trying to get the gold foil Taittinger stock instead. Not available retail but available to corporate he said when I told him I don't see them in the shops anymore. Let's see.
