Qantas Classic Reward: Jetstar Japan (GK) connecting to Cathay Pacific (CX) – will baggage be through-checked?

I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere and AI was no help!

I have booked a Qantas Classic Reward from Osaka (KIX) to Hong Kong via Taipei (TPE). The first sector is operated by Jetstar Japan (GK), with the connecting sector operated by Cathay Pacific (CX). Has anyone had experience with this type of booking, particularly regarding checked baggage?
I’m trying to work out whether my bags will be checked through to the CX flight, or whether I will need to collect them in Taipei, clear customs/immigration and then re-check them. The flights are all booked together as a single Qantas Classic Reward booking, and both sectors appear together in the Qantas, Cathay and Jetstar systems when I log in.
I’ve found information saying that Jetstar has an interline agreement with Cathay Pacific, although I’m wondering whether this applies to Jetstar Japan (GK) or only Jetstar (JQ).
My connection in Taipei is only 2 hours and 20 minutes, so I’m particularly keen to know whether I’ll need to collect and re-check the bags.
Has anyone actually done a GK → CX connection like this on a Qantas award booking?
Appeciate the help.

I’d say it’d apply to GK as well, it’s a very random combination that not many people would get. Worst case CX should be able to intercept the bag if you approach them at the transfer desk or gate.

Back in 2020, I had two seperate tickets BR to CX at TPE and the CX station manager even called my mobile to confirm where I’d come from and my baggage as BR in Brisbane had done a through check on two seperate tickets. I was told to meet them at the gate to verify passport. This clearly shows they monitor inbound connections onto CX.

I have a PNR from Qantas that allows me to log into the booking on Cathay's site and pick seats ect. The GK flights are in there as well and I can pick seat preferences with the GK (Window/Aisle). When I go to manage my booking through Qantas, there is a link on the GK flights that when clicked takes me into the jetstar system and the PNR seems to be different from the Qantas one but the CX flights are also listed there as well.

If you’ve only just made the booking wait 24 hours and let the systems sync. Then you’ll be able to select a seat on the Jetstar system.
