Yeah, although being selective is part of that process too!

Current plan for heading 'home' is late May, unless things improve before then.

You could join Anat0l on a MR around Asia; and then attend Ozfest.

As its based on my starting date of 17th July 2004 that number is on the lower side than it really is. I would be closer to 1 a day as I really didn't get into AFF until Feb 2007; first couple of years I was just securing land rights.:p

Speaking slightly on the topic of wine, here is an interesting topic that made FT Talkmail:

.

Talkmail; thanks I thought that had stopped, I changed email addresses and never got back on the mailing list as I thought it was gone.

Interesting article in the The Courier Mail Qweekend; obviously what these people were doing was illegal but it got me to thinking how much should we post or not post on forums, you will know what I am talking about if you have only just read the front page. How much of our flying should we post online.

I assume you're talking about the murder in a country far far away, carried out with some fake ID's gained from passports..!

Geez, some people on this thread can waffle on a lot. :p

Actually, hopefully I'll be up to 4/day pretty soon and then won't have to worry about the .68 (And no JohnK I'm not post padding ;) )
And neither am I!!!!

Some of them are pretty cool, others I go "each to their own!".

It is good to have dreams and hopes though.
We can't all be perfect. Anyway if it was not for Hope I would be back in Sydney living the good life instead of feeling lonely and out of place in Brisbane.

A job requires two things ... an employer wanting to employ a person, and a person wanting to be employed.

I'm lacking one of those things...
You don't want to be employed? ;)

Not really that worried tbh. If I find work, I find work. If I don't then I'll return to Oz, work another 6-12 months and get some more cash and possibly return.
Sounds like a great plan. I wish I could do that and spend more time in Thailand playing golf....

I missed that one, I'm down at Nowra for the week, and there's not much humour around this town. Looking forward to getting back to the Sunny Coast..............

Cheers Dee

Haha nice, probably your insurance company :)

Bit wet down here too!

Week after next mrsdrron will be near Karens-going to meet Mr.Stein at mollymook.

It would be terrible to have a surname like one of those people. It might raise some eyebrows with foreign security.

Indeed. Job market in the UK is still pretty fried after the economic meltdown. Starting to recover, but not much available in the fields I'm after.
My brother started in UK in 1999. After the tech wreck he had a bit of a hard time, lived in Holland, sleeping on the couch of some dutch person he met with another Aussie mate.

Ended up in Munich, with a decent job and is still there now. But I think maybe it was a bit longer than 6 months. (Well worth the adventure because his name ended up in print in a book telling the story of one of the bigger tech wrecks.)

By the sounds of it the next big IT spot is either poland or spain.

Yeah, I think IT is harder to transfer skills than some other careers. But then I know of lawyers who complain that they can't find work in the UK for similar reasons.

Really not too worried about it all, although work would be nice - getting rather bored as I have way too much free time.

My visa doesn't allow EU work unfortunately - otherwise I'd be looking at Germany, Holland or a few other countries. If I was a French speaker I would be able to apply for a good role I saw this morning (probably a French bank in London), ditto if I spoke German or spoke Dutch.
