Qantas Business Class meals & menus

With two decent QF lounges plus QR J and BA, they’re probably banking on peeps eating before hand and then trying to maximise sleep for all.
I can assure you one thing, they are banking on one thing and one thing only: Saving $$$. As I’ve said many times before, if someone wants to sleep, then just decline the meal and put your eye shades on. There will be plenty of people like myself who want a proper meal if they pay for J class, no matter what time of day. And I want that in the sky, not in the lounge- otherwise I can save my money, fly Eco and just have the lounge food thanks to airline status.

Not even considering pax who change from connecting flights who’s heads might be in a total different time zone.

People who just got off another long haul flight would have just been served a full dinner before landing in Singapore

That is an exceedingly poor inflight menu. 👎

I agree. That menu looks even worse than what I had on QF36 SIN-MEL a few years ago -

I get that it's a more of a "supper" service, but that menu looks pretty poor.

BTW, looking back at QF's menu font from previously, the current font looks cheap and tacky.

Costs them nothing to change the font to something more "premium".

It’s pretty much same same as SQ’s offering… in fact maybe a tad better. Ok, you can BTC on SQ, but if you hadn’t, the base menus are very limited on both carriers.

It’s all about maximising sleep.

Rumour has it Qantas are secretly in talks with Curtis Stone for his advice on how to feed a family of 4 travelling in business for under $10… 🤓
Yes...after Ronald McDonald told Qantas that they could not help to deliver but suggested that every flight should be classed as a night flight and pax are required to sleep without food at any time, any day.🫣

Well said.

I’m not sure if this is off topic or not, and I don’t fly in J on a regular basis, but is it common to have a breakfast meal served on a short domestic flight that departs at noon? I thought it was quite peculiar…

What's the exact scheduled departure time, and what meal was served?
