Rockfords discussion

Someone posted this elsewhere, but Rockford have some offers for Stonewall Society members included access to another 6 bottles of the 2022 Basket Press.

Also available are magnums of the 2018 Eden Valley Riesling, 2016 Rifle Range and 2020 Basket press. Again, only to Stonewall Society members.

If anyone in Melbs wants to order an extra 6 BP I’ll happily take them :-)

I may call and try my luck at getting the 2016 RR magnums. not a SW but may try anyway

Is there a timeframe that they apply to becoming a SW? I feel like I’ve been a member for 2-3 years and buy a across the range 2-3 times a year

I’d say roughly another 2-3.
Total spend and attendance seems to make a difference depending who you talk to.

I don't like your chances but a phone call never hurts. Are you currently a budburst member. That seems to be the first step these days.

@iamsuperandrew ’attending’ and interaction has been directly said to be a factor in becoming a StoneWaller. That is, not just buying wine, but going to the winery for lunch, cellar door etc.

Also, there isn’t necessarily a particular hurdle to be cleared. A couple of years ago, a number of people became SWers much earlier than expected. At the winery they told us that the original crop of SWers were ‘getting on’ and buying less wine, so they had more stock available, so able to bring more into the fold. I wasn’t one of the first crop, but pretty early and am certainly buying a lot less than I used to.

So timing comes into it.

Unless a Stonewall Society member invites you to lunch, I don't think going for lunch is really an option?
